'Still in love': Sex addict David Duchovny and Téa Leoni get touchy-feely on Malibu beach

Their marriage broke down in spectacular Hollywood style, amid rumours of affairs and sex addiction. But it seems David Duchonvy and Téa Leoni might just get their fairytale ending after all.

The actors were spotted on Malibu beach with their children yesterday - looking happy, loved-up, and distinctly touchy-feely.

At one point, David even draped an affectionate arm on Téa's lower back while she beamed back at him.

According to People.com, the pair - who split last autumn - are still in love and completely devoted to their children, Madeline, 10, and Kyd, 7.

'Their relationship has really improved. They're still in love. They very much care for each other and whatever happens they are working it out for the kids,' a source close to the X Files star told the U.S. gossip website.

The source went on: 'Their first priority through everything was staying close for their kids and making life as great as it can be for them.'

The pair married in 1997, and for years their union was regarded as one of the strongest in Hollywood.

But last year, David - who plays a sex-obsessed writer on Channel 5's hit series Californication - checked himself into a rehab clinic.

He subsequently received counselling for so-called 'sexual compulsivity', amid claims he had cheated on Téa for years.

They announced their separation just two months later - but in a dramatic twist, the blame was laid squarely at Deep Impact star Téa's feet.

According to reports, Duchovny discovered via text messages on his wife's mobile phone that she had begun a relationship with Oscar-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, 53, who was formerly married to Angelina Jolie.

The five-times married Billy Bob had met Téa when they made a comedy film called Manure the year before.

But while other relationships might have disintegrated into bitter acrimony, the pair have frequently been spotted together on family outings with their children.
