Most long-suffering wives and girlfriends have been there - and it seems Jennifer Lopez is no exception.
She'd dutifully accompanied her husband, Latino crooner Marc Anthony, to a baseball game in New York yesterday - but couldn't seem to muster up much enthusiasm.
Dressed casually in a cream woolen jumper and jeans, with her honey-coloured hair pulled into a messy ponytail, J-Lo seemed more interested in snuggling up with her other half than watching any on-pitch action between the New York Mets and Tampa Bay Rays.
Yawn: J-Lo doesn't seem too interested in the baseball game between the New York Mets and Tampa Bay Rays in NYC yesterday
Much rather do this: The pair share a kiss during the game
In fact, the mother of 16-month-old twins Max and Emme recently revealed they plan on extending their brood.
'I think we will have more children. I mean, it's fun to do all the things we do.
'But nothing feels like what it is to have children and to have that joy and purpose in your life of raising another human being,' she said recently.
Shush honey, I'm watching the game: Marc keeps his eyes on the pitch while Jennifer chats in his ear
With her last Hollywood effort - 2006's Bordertown - going straight to DVD in the U.S., the star is no doubt hoping for success.
In typical entrepreneurial style, however, she's hedging her bets by working on a new album - her eighth - as well.
'I worked on music while I was pregnant and while I was at home, but now to really get into it and focus on it and to finish the project is exciting,' she said.
Thank God that's over: Jennifer shelters under a brolly as she and Marc leave the stadium
