They’re in the middle of a holiday in Ibiza but WAG Alex Curran and her footballer husband Steven Gerrard didn’t exactly look like they were having the time of their lives as they were spotted on the beach together.

A glum Alex, who looked stunning in a patterned bikini, could barely raise a smile as she took to the water with the Liverpool star.

The former nail technician, who has previously admitted to having a boob job when she was 18, fiddled with her bikini top self -consciously while her husband, dressed in dark-blue shorts, looked on miserably.

The couple, along with daughters Lilly-Ella, five, and three-year-old Lexie have taken an extended break to celebrate their second wedding anniversary and were spotted holidaying in Portugal last week.

Alex looked better than ever as she showed off her toned body.

Earlier this year she admitted that she used to get so bored while travelling to 29-year-old Gerrard's games, that she'd eat up to three McDonald's meals a week.

‘I used to eat McDonald's all the time because whenever I was on my way to Liverpool, I used to stop and get one.

'I reckon I'd probably have about three McDonald's a week,' she told New! Magazine.

'Eating's a boredom thing. When you've got nothing else to do, you just start planning your next meal.'

The mother-of-two said she decided to change her ways after she was photographed with a rounded belly on holiday in Florida last year and has now lost 6lbs and dropped from a size 10 to 8 waist.

'I love the changes to my figure. I feel more confident wearing vest tops now,’ she added.

'I'll also buy more clothes made of clingy material now, which I would have never worn before.'
